Joan Morrison graduated with a First Class Honours Commerce Degree and Diploma in Public Administration from U.C.D. She has agri-business experience and established the first recruitment consultancy in Dublin. She is extremely interested in the positive role of the consumer and was a former chairperson of the Consumers’ Association of Ireland. She was first chairperson of the National Consumer Advisory Council, which advised the government on new consumer law. A member of U.C.D. Women Graduates’ Assoc. she represents the Irish Federation of University Women on Convocation. In 2005 she was appointed by the Minister for Finance to the Consumer Panel of the Financial Regulator.
